A media born from an African dream.
We help Africans understand the continent, make better choices and turn knowledge into meaningful action at their own scale.

Make useful knowledge clearer, closer and easier to act on.
Better-informed Africans make better decisions.
People, knowledge and solutions—not partisan politics.
From an early website to a media-community.
The first Afrikyf experiment
Olanike started Afrikyf in 2016 and built afrikyf.com as a place where Africans could discuss problems and develop solutions. The early experiment clarified the need for community, not only a platform.
Africa Young Forum begins again
Afrikyf relaunched in Benin on 16 September with a clearer plan: connect Africans ready to learn, inspire others and take small actions together.
A community across more than ten countries
The early network expanded beyond Benin to members in more than ten African countries, showing that the desire to act was already shared.
“My African Dream” is published
The founding essay connected confidence, knowledge and everyday action around one conviction: Africa becomes better when Africans become better. Read the original essay.
Community activities take shape
Learn & Inspire conversations and Afrikyf Week Goals invited members to buy local, value Black identity, keep cities cleaner and rediscover African places.
Afrikyf becomes a media and action community
The media now attracts attention, explains realities and shares useful knowledge. The community carries that knowledge into decisions, habits, collaboration and action.
Help useful knowledge travel further.
The foundation side of Afrikyf supports public-interest stories, community learning and practical actions that may not be funded by advertising.
